Pre and Post Natal Massage

Pregnancy Massage

Here at Back on Form Sports Massage we offer a no fads, no fancy massage. We are not a spa, we are looking at solving any problems or pain that have arisen while you have been pregnant. This can cover:

  • Lower back pain

  • Sacroiliac Joint pain
  • SPD - Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, also known as Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP)
  • Sciatica
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Neck Pain
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Breathing Issues
  • and any other pain not present before pregnancy.

A pre-therapy pre-screening form will be emailed to you before treatment and at the first appointment a complete posture analysis will be taken and a treatment plan created. None of our works are a 'quick fix' and a few treatments should be expected.

Post Natal Massage

Our Post Natal massage has been designed to aid, ease, help any pain or symptoms you have been left with postnatally. This does not matter if you are 6 weeks post natal or 6 years post natal, if you have suffered pain since giving birth then this is not your norm. Postural misalignment created while pregnant can create all manor of issues for the body after birth and a 'wonky frame' will create pain when there is load going through it. If you try to train and get fitness back on a 'wonky frame' you will find after a period of time your body will break down. For those ladies who had birth via C-Section your scar and scar tissue can create problems in your frame so work can be done to help free the connective tissue and scar tissue, making everything move in a better manor. Healing comes from within so with a good, high protein diet and therapy we can start to get you back to 100% health.

As with the pregnancy massage a pre-screening form will be emailed to you for you to complete and return before treatment, with a posture analysis taken at the first appointment.

Other medical procedures

For anyone who has had any kind of abdominal surgery (hysterectomy, appendix removal, tumour removal etc.) the scar tissue that has developed will play a major role in how your connective tissue and fascia is functioning. Massage will help alleviate these adhesions and make everything function better.

We are very excited to be offering these new treatments and look forward to helping you in this next stage.
